The Only Thing New,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,

Will we ever learn. 1976 redux. Our local Paper ? The Detroit Free Press has the usual Liberal ? editorial page with some of the most inane reader comments that I have seen 1976. Oil Tankers, holding their cargoes until the price rises. Bush in league with the CFR and the Bildebergers. Whining about the prospect of the Vast Oil Shale reserves being being, I did'nt make this up,,,RAPED for the benefit of the greedy oil companies.   Of course there could be no discussion about the Idiocy of not drilling for oil, without bringing up the old saw,,,a lower national speed limit. Backed no less by the perennial RINO, John Warner,,,,,Senator from Virginia. Of course the advocates of limited goverment, who, one can guaranty, never has to drive anyplace without a chauffer and a taxpayer paid for SUV. For those of us who drive for a living, I run a small Sales Company. I cover about 50K square mile territory and drive about 3000 miles a month, I will be tasked with spending an extra 10 hours a month driving whilst still using gasoline to drive slower, longer. All to save me money. We have the spectacle of the like of Bill O'Reilly and Newt, who should know better, Gingrich calling for mandatory flex fuel vehicle that not only get horrible "gas" mileage, they impose on the Auto Companies another layer of engineering cost that is extremely expensive. Who, other than by mandate will buy this subsidized adulterate fuel when one has to use 20% more fuel to travel the same distance. The spectacle on Nancy Pelosi saying no to Off Shore drilling whilst whinging about not having a large enough Jet to fly non-stop to the Coast is obscene.
One has to imagine that the only place that there will be no speed limits our travel restriction will be on the well travelled road to abortion Clinics. If we had a President with guts,,,he would declare a national emergency and open up to exploration and extracion of the 80 billion barrels of oil that would not only lower the price of oil but would create a massive jobs program. Where are the Union Leaders in this debate. Have they all lost their collective minds ?
